Restaurant Design | Brand Identity | User Interface
Wags Café and Bistro is an innovative dog-friendly dining concept located in Savannah’s Starland District, designed to revolutionize the local pet hospitality landscape. By offering a unique dining experience that caters to both humans and their canine companions, Wags aims to foster community connections and enhance the social interactions between dog owners.
The café addresses a critical gap in Savannah’s dining scene by providing specialized dog-safe meals and creating a dedicated space for pet owners to socialize. Unlike traditional restaurants that merely accommodate dogs, Wags offers intentionally crafted menu options for both humans and their four-legged companions.
The perfect place for people and pups
Wags caters to the extroverted, social, adventurous, and active dog owners of Savannah, Georgia. The choice of the Brittany Spaniel as the brand’s representative reflects the café’s vibrant and dynamic atmosphere. This breed is renowned for its intelligence, liveliness, and upbeat disposition, embodying the spirited essence of Wags and its community-focused mission.
The inspiration for Wags emerged during a morning jog through downtown Savannah, from Forsyth Park to River Street. Observing numerous dog owners grabbing coffee and pastries while their dogs eagerly awaited a taste highlighted a need. Unlike Pounce Cat Café on Broughton Street, there was no venue where Savannah's dog owners could enjoy a relaxing experience with their pets, offering special treats for both without concerns of overindulgence.
The Wags mobile app enhances the customer experience by offering a user-friendly platform designed to provide valuable rewards. Featuring three distinct membership tiers, the app allows users to earn increasingly better rewards based on their spending. These rewards can be redeemed for a diverse selection of treats, catering to both human patrons and their canine companions. This innovative approach not only incentivizes loyalty but also enriches the overall dining experience at Wags.
Take a peek at all the local pups featured in this project, and a big thank you to my friend Phalicity Pour for allowing me to feature both you and Duke in this project!
